About Javier García Díaz

Javier is the General Director of the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE). His notable international recognition is underscored by his multifaceted leadership roles in global and European standardization bodies.

Presently, he holds the position of Technical Vice President at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is a distinguished member of the Board of Directors of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). Throughout his esteemed career, he has held the esteemed role of Technical Vice President at the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). Additionally, he has significantly contributed as a member of the Technical Council for Standardization of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Javier García’s academic background comprises a degree in Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid, complemented by postgraduate studies in Business Administration and Marketing Management. His pursuit of excellence extends to a Master’s in Innovation Management. He further enriched his knowledge through diplomatic studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
