About Michael Evans

Michael leads the analysis of the group’s emissions to inform its Net Zero by 2050 Roadmap, and is responsible for fulfilling IAG’s sustainability reporting requirements, compliant with Spanish Law and the EU Corporate Reporting Sustainability Directive (CSRD) regulations. Michael has more than 7 years’ experience working on carbon market policies. This includes developing market analysis on the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS); and holding several roles in the UK Government, including taking part in international negotiations on carbon pricing; policy development work to establish the UK ETS; and implementation of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) in UK legislation.
