About Valentina de Marchi

Valentina is specialized into understanding environmental and circular innovations, especially in the context of firms embedded into Global Value Chains. With a PhD from the University of Padova in 2011, she has authored over 60 publications in leading international journals, garnering recognition from ISI Web of Science, placing her in the top 1% of her academic field. Her dedication to national and international research projects focusing on circularity, B Corps, and sustainability tensions between economic and environmental outcomes, particularly within small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, reflects her commitment to advancing global environmental and societal sustainability. Her leadership roles include serving as president of the GRONEN association (Group for Research of Organizations and the Natural Environment), being leading member of the organizing committee of Network O (Global Value Chains) within SASE and National Representative at the European International Business Academy (EIBA). Valentina is deeply involved in scholarly endeavors, notably as a deputy editor of the Journal of International Business Policy, and holds several editorial positions.
